The Closet

A few weeks ago I wrote a post expressing some needs for our prayer closet at the CD offices. Thanks to some generous friends and some college students on spring break, we now have a place to kneel and pray undistracted. Thanks to Patrick, Kenneth, and Thomas for their prep and painting work, and to the Lord for the providential way He uses blog posts to provide kneelers. I know God hears all prayers offered from all places in the name of Christ, but I'm just sayin'... more effective prayer closet = more effectual prayers!

Bob, unless the color on my computer screen is way off, you got yourself a burnt orange prayer closet. Very, very nice.

Thou shalt not consume baked goods in the prayer closet.

Stewman, though it was accidental, your observation is correct. If you Longhorn fans are correct, perhaps the Lord will hear and act more quickly in light of this.

Could you imagine a husker red prayer room? Not exactly a good color for a prayer room I would think.

Though it sounds like those Longhorn fans might have some pagan leanings if you think the color of your prayer rooms make God do something quicker!

no spiritual value or efficacy suggested...simply acknowledging the fact that the walls are indeed burnt awesome.

We prefer to call it "Coram Deo Orange."

Agreed - this is a beautiful, trendy and quietly contemplative (screams Hook 'Em Horns) color.

Bob-
It wasn't 'accidental' if Kendal bought the paint -think about it :)

You guys crack me up.

Actually, Nick, the color choice goes way back to the beginning of CD, when one of my graphic designer friends was picking out colors for our logo. To my knowledge he has no connection to Texas, but perhaps Stewman and Walker were secretly at work even back then to unleash their evil schemes upon us.
