Peet's Is... Really Tasty

The coffee snobbery at the Coram Deo offices has reached new heights today with the arrival of our first shipment of Peet's coffee, air-mailed from the West Coast. (Unfortunately Peet's does not deem Omaha worthy of its own store, despite the frigid temperatures that clearly increase coffee consumption.) Notice that this delectable bag of goodness has the date of its roasting printed on the bag, ensuring its freshness and flavor. The kingdom of God must go forward, and its progress cannot be hindered by inferior bean!

Sorry man. I mean no offense and am not trying to speak heresy. However, when it is scorching your mouth so bad that all you can taste is styrofoam, i really don't think it matters if you spend 8 bucks or 2 bucks. I guess I am just not a coffee person.

Wow, it feels really good to get that off my chest. I am glad the community knows it finally.

Patrick, you might as well have said DWebb's music sucks. But we'll do our best to love you as you grow into maturity in this area.

Did you ever see the episode of the Simpson's where Flanders is the principal, and gives out Yoo Hoo and peanut butter cups to people who get sent to the office?

I foresee a dramatic increase in the number of pastoral meetings at the CD office as long as the premium bean holds out. I'm feeling a personal crisis coming on right now, as a matter of fact. Get a fresh pot going, I'm on my way.

Coffee...bleh

Now if you could stock Red Bull at the offices, I could suddenly see myself becoming a more "spiritual" person in need of a lot of "pastoral" care. :)

You should move out to Portland, Bob. Peet's deems Portland worthy. Think about it.

Oh, Portland. How I long for your temperate climate and delicious coffee. I will agree, Portland has some great coffee. Check out this site for some serious coffee afficianados:

http://www.stumptowncoffee.com/

I will have to get the CD offices some Stumptown beans.

Tommy - I don't know who you are, but I do know that you are a man of taste. Stumptown is the truth (lower case 't' but the truth nonetheless). You have to make it in a french press, though, or you're missing out.

whoa, patrick, that is a brave statement you made referencing the golden calf. and to think, i have gone to borders and you have made me coffee before. you take the name of good coffee in vain.
for some good coffee, come to the foundry, and give your money to bloodwater mission, we are trying to build a well in africa, especially feb. 23. with 12 songwriters, chris saub etc. anyway, this way you can have good coffee and feel good about yourself too.
