Thanks for bringing Derek Webb to Omaha. I was the fourty something guy in the third row. In a room filled with people half my age, thanks for making me feel welcome. It seems your church is breaking new ground in our community. It was gracious of you to include the city in your birthday celebration.

I loved hearing Derek's take on typical Christian art. It's always great to hear someone put into words somehting you've felt for a while and never been able to word properly yourself!
I have to give a second thinks to Cody for his hard work. You could tell he was tired, yet he kept plugging away and did something for us that no one else that I know of would have been capable of. If you read this Cody, thank you! You hard work and expertise was invaluable!
I third the thank you to Cody!!!! I don't think I saw him stop once that entire day! :)
The concert was awesome. I felt like I was on MTV Unplugged or something like that. Jared was hilarious, and very talented (Is he signed yet?). Derek was very thought provoking, and I, like Travis, hold the same opinion of Christian art. Derek put it very eloquently. Even more, I think this was a great example of engaging the culture and building community. This is what Coram Deo is all about. Good Work!
Haha, Will and I were cracking up at Jared's commentary! I think I'd buy his CD now even if I didn't like the music!
For those that missed, what did Derek say about Christian art??
